Should be fine: keep as much soil around the root ball as possible, and once in their new hole with added compost, water really well.

Yes, they should do, now's a good time to move things around, but if the shrubs you're speaking of haven't yet been dug up, anything older than 5 years at the most should be left in peace to grow on - it will be difficult to move them successfully.
