Does everyone else have to move a plant at least 5 times before they are happy?

Or is it just me......................

Yes yes yes, my hubby (who is not a keen gardener) goes mad at me when I say I am moving a plant. He thinks once in situ it should stay there!!!

LOL.....At LEAST 5 times.

I move my pots on occasion, just to make a change, but I am usually satisfied where I put my pots and plants first time.

I just move pots to make a nice change.

Maybe not five times now, but when I'm planting a client's garden with lots of plants, I often find myself changing my mind halfway through and repositioning things - and then digging up a couple more and positioning them 6 inches back or over... So no, you are most definitely not alone, lol!

LOL. I often shift a plant a couple of inches! They have to be 'right'. :-)))))

Same here, they're quite often shifted about after their initial plunge ;-)
They 'do' have to look right.

Anyway, its only like moving the furniture and ornaments about really, isn't it. I mean if you put a vase of flowers on the table, you might move it a couple of times, or turn it, till it looks right, not to mention moving the sofas, etc., to the best position, you might end up doing that several times.

Yes I very often move my plants around, I like to colour co-ordinate too, so your not the only one, its creative isnt it.

I do too, though perhaps twice or very occasionally three times! :-)

9 times no... once yes

Only 5 times - nah more than that definitely. but then again the sofa has been in more positions than I care to remember and the bed well that's another story. Change is as good as a rest or so they say!!

I usually keep them in their pots, shuffle them around until I think it looks right, walk off and have lunch, come back and shuffle them again--rarely not--go to bed, and look again in the morning, maybe tweak a few, then plant. Kind of like pruning bonsai, that! ; )

Always! And often! I sometimes think the poor things will pack their little roots and take themselves off just to get some peace and quiet. We've been here on our mountain for 4 years now and I'm still struggling with the terrain - very rocky; the weather - very 'full on' of whatever is around at any given moment; the altitude - some plants just sink into their roots and sulk; and the fact that there are very few, and not very good, GCs here, so I have to rely on seeds and the local market. :o(

LOL I'm glad it's not just me.
I always worry that I'm going to finish the poor plants off but so far they've bounced back surprisingly well :-)

I'm obsessed with colour co-ordinating my borders too bullfinch. My husband thinks I'm mad because I was complaining about some of my gladioli (from a 'mixed' packet) being the wrong shade of red for the border I put them in. I'll have to make sure they go in a different border next year :-)

Oh that's me, as well - an Oriental Poppy was wrongly labelled, and flowered coral in the middle of my pinks and mauves - I 'had' to move it, I just couldn't bear it there! I did the deed while it ws in flower, though! LOL. (It seems to have survived, too, which is a little surprising!)
