I thought this was a Hydrangea (possibly Wim's Red) but a recent visitor said it looked like a Viburnum. Any ideas gratefully received!

A closer shot of the flowers and leaves would help with the id.
However, looking at our Wim's Red it does look like it to me.

I think the name is a bit of a misnomer. The red does not appear until the flowers are on their way out.

Don't think so. And no it is not very big, it has struggled to establish.

Looks like Cornus alba Sibirica to me.
