Yes, can’t get into News. Like button not working either. Can only get in by going into general photos and adding from there. I’ve contacted Dave and he does know there are some issues, but could everyone let him know as well please. Contact@growsonyou.com is the email address.

In all honesty I don't like to bother Dave, he has done us proud over the years but sadly I think our Growson is reaching its end... Anyone who is on FB please let me know, I tend to stay on the gardening sites and private groups but would love to stay in contact with my old gardening friends.....xxTried to say this in a blog but it got lost again......

I have thought the end was near for GoY for a long time Sue, it's dreadful. The people who created it have left, and although Dave does his best to sort things out it is clearly not enough.

I also belong to two garden groups on fb as you know Sue and a few cactus groups too but I haven't bothered much with them.

In fact I am withdrawing gradually from forums and social media. I find it a nuisance. My real garden, my art groups, and local/family history research are more interesting to me than faffing with buttons and screens.

Hello Hywel, its a crying shame isn't, I still think its the best one and miss the people I've got to know but I get frustrated when it won't work, we are both in some of the same groups thankfully, I did try the groups you mentioned but I didn't feel comfortable in them, I couldn't get my head around how to work them properly Hywel. I don't know what I'd do without the friends I have made over many years, even more so since I lost Derek, although I've only ever met one, a lovely lady from Anglesey, I'm not one to go out much, never have been so friends on here and my friends in my gardening groups are my company.
I love history and archaeology,follow quite a lot of the groups on the web especially the local ones, I do like to research my home ground, my daughter Juliet received a DNA Voucher as a xmas gift from her husband, she's researching both sides of the family and the results are astounding, its all on hold for now as like me gardening is her main hobby, she also has an allotment now so weather permitting her spare time is spent working on those,I like to join her down there, its tough going at the moment , I'm having to pace myself as I have a problem with my back and hips, thankfully as long as I'm not digging or bending too much I can keep up, getting old Hywel and its showing, I've always said as long as I can take care of my garden I'm happy.....You take care Hywel....xx

I don't look much at the other forums nor the groups on fb. To be honest GoY is my favourite one too and I'd be very sad to see it go.

DNA test can reveal secrets - I did one and although I knew I had English ancestors (maternal grandfather's family were from Barnstaple) but apparently 9% of my DNA is from Spain !

Sue, I shall try "news" and see if it works,
I have found that if I press "seen" or "stop following" on blogs, this doesn't work.
I had sent a message to Dave and got a reply to say he is working on it.
Like you, apart from my garden and am lucky to have a lovely family and good friends, I would be sorry to lose goy as I have made many friends on here and would also lose all my blogs of Willow Cottage which was a special place for both of us.

I have been trying to put a blog on about my recent visit to Woolbeding gardens in Sussex, but no luck, the photos would not upload. I will be sorry to see an end to GoY. as it is the only group I use. Don’t do face book or any other. It is nice to share one’s plants, Gdns, etc with someone else. A bit of outside contact is always welcome. Things do naturally sometimes come to an end though. We’ll just have to wait and see.
