Back in ythe summer I planted an evergreen honeysuckle in a tub and it got mildew. Thanks to advice I received from other members I managed to clear this but the plant lost a lot of leaves. There are some signs of new leaf growth but the plant mainly looks like a collection of sticks. Should I cut it back almost to the ground or just leave it?

Don't cut it now, leave it alone - you will need to keep a close eye on it in spring and spray at the first signs of mildew. Wait for growth to start showing, and then remove any obviously dead or weak or very leggy growth, if there's any.

I don't really know the answer to this but I left mine as bare stems after it was attacked by mildew last year and it has been all right this year.
