Has anyone got any ideas for some winter colour. Got pansies and primula and don't particularly want shrubs unless small ones for a small cottage garden.

I like small evergreen shrubs that are bone hardy-- like Euonymus for example--- emerald'n'gold and emerald gaiety always look bright even on a dull day

Winter flowering heathers, Erica carnea varieties in particular always look good in the depths of winter
