when to plant onions and garlic, also what vegatables can be grown in winter

Answers

Now's a good time to plant garlic, if you wait till the soil dries out a tad that would be better & then cover with anything to protect from the worst of the winter wet as they are prone to rot. I use old windows propped up with a couple of bricks but cloche's or a simple bamboo frame covered in polythene does the job.
Otherwise if it doesnt look like drying out plant them anyway & cover, the soil will dryout accordingly. I get best results from November planted garlic than a Spring planting.

How do I say thanks?
