If you have a look on Amazon there is a few second hand hardback copies of Daylilies by Walter Erhardt, the price starts from £2.97 and some copies have free delivery, sorry had no experience of the book but its 168 pages, for that price it may be worth a look

Be careful what you look for Drc because Daylilies are not lilies! They are the genus Hemerocallis, so this is what you should be searching for.

The Peate and Petit(?) book is really good on Hemerocallis. Could go and look at the ISBN number but too tired to walk that far.

I have just bought the Daylily book by Peate & Petit. The ISBN number is 0-88192-666-3 I acually bought it from The Lost Gardens of Heligan. As bulbaholic says it is on Hemerocallis. I also have a true Lily book called Lilies by Michael Jefferson- Brown. It's an RHS book. I hope this helps.

Only thing I would say about either of the Hemerocallis books is that a lot of the varieties shown are not available in Britain, sadly.

I have a book I bought at an R.H.S property.....I think Wisley. It is small, slim 160 pages, lots of lovely pics. The Gardeners Guide to Growing DAYLILIES ISBN 0-7153-0695-2 David and Charles (1998). It was £16.99 new. Worth a trawl on the internet to try and find it. It says on the back fly leaf that she has a nursery at Apple Court in Hampshire. It is on Google, if you type in the above name+daylilies the nursery is there. It looks well worth a visit and is in the Yellow Book.

Another option might be Keith larkin's site:

Keith offers w wide range of plant books at reasonable prices. We often talk about books when he comes up to Gardening Scotland.
You can send him a direct enquiry on the 'conact us' page.
