Fountain grass

I have a lovely fountain grass in a pot which has now exploded with loads of seeds which have transplanted themselves all over the garden, the original plant now looks very untidy, if I cut it back to tidy it up will it come back to its lush green state again?

As a general rule grasses can be left until early Spring before you cut them back to just above the ground. They still look nice in winter with frost on their heads etc. You can tidy up dead leaves that don't look good of course. The grass itself shoule still be nice and green at this time of year. I have 4 of these having split the original and they are at their best at tha moment. I see there are come pics of mine at the bottom of this page.
