Trillium seed,has anyone sown seeds ?
Is there a special way to sow Trillium seed?
Do they take long to germinate?

I must admit to being disapointed with the seed compost available today so I am currently using 50% multipurpose compost, 25% grit and 25% coarse sand (which by my definition is concreting sand that you might get from a builders merchant, rather than the expensive stuff from a GC).

From the top: yes; not particularly; yes!
We give Trillium the same sort of treatment that we give other seeds. A gritty, soil based seed compost and left outside. They can take a year or two to germinate and several more years to flower. That is why they are rather expensive to buy.
