I've never heard of this on honeysuckle before - it happens on plums, when its described as Plum Moth - larvae get into the fruits, eat the inside and fill it up with their poo, then leave when mature and ready to turn into moths. Treatment for that is a spray containing fenitrothion or permethrin - spray in early summer, while its growing and with perhaps flower buds just about present, then again 3 weeks later. Timings may need adjusting, this is new territory for me, as I say, not heard of this on honeysuckle before. Hope it works.

Yes, help please. My honeysuckle looked really healthy too, lots of flowers starting to come but then - same problem. The individual "tubes in the flower" start ok then there's a grey looking mark inside it and when it begins to open there's this sort of maggot inside. Last year all the flowers came off. I have just sprayed it with a bug killer and hope it may work.

that must be a bug peculier to honeysuckle . there should be an insecticide to deal with that . you could google honeysuckle paracites and should find what your looking for .
