Greenhouse roof in polycarbonate

I need to replace some of the glass on my greenhouse roof, and am thinking of using 10mm twin-wall polycarbonate sheet instead - hopefully to give good light transmission, reasonable insulation so I don't have to use bubble-sheet in the winter - and strong enough to bear the weight of Merlin, our cat - who loves to sit on the roof when I'm working inside . Any thoughts on this, anyone?

I love polycarb greenhouses for, as you say, the light diffusion. I do not, however, think that this is best for you, with your cat. Instructions tell you not to leave even snow on the roof.
