Happy New Year to all members. I have a question to ask you all.I have a new small crab apple tree that I planted this year. What do I do now it is winter? It has two small branches that had a few leafs on but now have fallen off. Do I cut the two smallbranches right back or do I just leave it.
Thanks

And a Happy New Year to you, too, Boopcoltz! I'll go along with Celandine - leave it for a year (or two), let it grow and branch a bit more, then you'll have something a bit more definite to prune and shape.

If it only has two small branches leave it alone. It can't be in need of pruning yet.
