Wow, Andrea, that page is really interesting - I didn't realise you could grow sweet potatoes in the UK - think I might try some. Also, it said you can eat the leaves and that they are like spinage. 0_0

Why don't you try looking on the internet. I have just put 'growing sweet potatoes' into google and searched under uk pages only and came up with loads of results to look under. The RHS one looks the most promising

Have a look on google, that is where I get a lot of tips and ideas when I want a quick search, but GOY will always come up trumps when I can't find any advice about gardening.
