You're right there Pimpernel - but if the dog is young, he's probably squatting to pee, and that's as damaging, frankly. Older dogs, as I'm sure you know, cock their legs and burn the bushes instead...

Wouldn't be a bad thing, grows like billyo if you do, lush and green... and I know that because of some elderly clients I used to have. I went there early spring one year and the grass outside the french windows was lush, long and green all along the edge of the path. I knew what had happend, and he eventually admitted to peeing outside rather than going upstairs when his wife was already in bed or out for the evening.
