My crocus not flowering

I moved to my current home in spring of last year. This year I've noticed some leaves growing in my flower bed that definately look like crocus. However crocus has already bloomed here and I did not see any blooms. Why did I not get any flowers?

since moving here 12 years ago i get typical crocus leaves [though about 8" long ]appearing under some trees and these have never flowered so i dont know what they are either.
these in your garden could have grown from seed and they take up to 4 years to be big enought to flower.
