bought 8 of these plants 4 weeks ago and they had green leaves on but now they are turning yellow is this normal or are they dying

i have them in both the ground and pots. I lost one a few years ago, it went yellowy and i was told it was virus.

in my expierence unless agapanthus are in a container they dont do well,when growing same in the ground leaves remained very healthy,flowers non-existant. all did better in containers,I believe it depends on watering.
