I have a willow fence - for screening, which after 6 years looks very tatty and needs replacing. Can anyone tell me, with either using bamboo or willow - which will be the hardiest and look best for longest?

Bamboo would probably last longer than willow.

I can give a definite "don't buy" to the similar brushwood screening. Mine has completely disintegrated after just over two years, and it looked bad all of last year. The wires holding it all together have rusted through and a lot of the brushwood has blown away. What's left was flapping, curled over and dismal til I removed it. I am also looking for a more robust wind barrier.
