By Lizabeth

My husband has been spraying some weeds with Glyphosate in a plot of land where I was hoping to grow vegetables, is it safe to plant on this ground now? Many thanks. Lizabeth

As I understand it the glyposphate is neuteralised as soon as it hits the soil. The weeds should be allowed to die off and then be removed and the ground should be OK for planting up again.

Oooh, crumbs! I wouldn't want to grow veggies to eat after the soil has been contaminated with that poison!

Can your husband dig up the sprayed weeds with a spadeful of soil?. Put soil and weeds in a strong plastic bag, in 6 months time you can spread it at the back of your shrubberies.
