ID needed please!
I got these two rather shrubby specimens at a summer fair this w/e. Can anyone identify the plant for me? Sorry it's such a poor photo, but it's the best I can do!

Thanks Bamboo - I just had to rescue it, limp and wrapped up in a bit of newspaper, hardly any soil on it at all. The dappled shade will be easy - damp soil, I'm not so sure. We shall see...

Yes I agree as it looks like mine, trouble is it spreads and spreads and spreads.

Ah - well in that case, I might withdraw my pity and get rid while I can! Just as well the fair was in aid of a good cause!!

if you like it put it in a pot and then plant the pot [like you do for mint!] it wont stop it permanently but it will slow it down a bit.

Good thinking, Sbg. :-)) Too late for me, though! I inherited mine.

Yes - it is a shame. I hate to throw away a plant, even just a small twig of one, but I think it was probably for the best! Thanks again for all the advice.

Could be a sad Lysimachia 'Firecracker'- likes dampish soil and dappled sun. If it flowers and they're yellow, that's what it is.
