I have - just got one and when I went to look the last comment was posted in October 2011....

There have been some inappropriate comments posted on quite old threads. If they have been flagged to the administrators they will have been removed. That might be why you have the notifications , but the comments have gone.

Ah, I think I know what may have happened. Earlier today I had notification of a comment to a pic and found it to be one of those annoying messages we sometimes get from someone ’seeking love'. Now that the offender has been removed, all the comments have been removed, too. If you refresh your news screen you may find the notification has gone, too. That's what happened with me, anyway.

Oh blow.

Glad you posted this - an old thread appeared in my inbox today, but when I looked at it, the last comment was mine way back at the beginning of May... I was mystified, but that explanation fits on that as well.

Bulba got one of those posts today too - from the female I mean :-)

I was just about to ask the same question..thanks for explaining the situation..I just couldn't fathom it out...

I also had this at the same time as getting 3 non GoY emails which were deftly dealt with by super duper Norton 360 internet security so I got v suspicious. Thanks for sharing and putting our minds at rest as it's been a while since I had a trojan email and getting 3 off the trot had me worried!
