Quick, ring the MOD - it must be a UFO :-)

I can see it right now - scared me half to death!

I remember seeing something like that here a long time ago. I think people called it the son or san ... well something like that. I can't remember properly ;o)

I have it on good authority that it's a burning ball of gas many light years away from our planet, hence the lack of warmth we are experiencing! There is little prospect of seeing it again this month!

Oh dear, I quite appreciated the extra light and not having to use the electric field to see by!

LOL you lot - we too, just briefly, had a strange yellow light flooding the field opposite which appeared not to be the electric floodlights.

Ah well, perhaps it will re-appear and we can all enjoy being out in this light. Or, if you are in England, hope that the Olympic torch will bring some light to you :-)

It's been sunny all day here.....sorry. Cold wind though.

I saw something similar about 36 hours ago... not a sign of it since, though. The Olympic Torch has just enjoyed an indoor experience - the possibility of extinction if kept outside was just too strong to risk!

I spotted that briefly yesterday over here! Moves fast doesn't it! ;o)

We get it intermittantly here, some days it plays peek a boo, others it too shy to appear. But from my reckoning it should be very busy over the UK in possibly 2013, but definately 2014. But don't quote me on that unless I'm right :-)

I think its shy, it was there when I got up this morning but when I pointed it hid behind a cloud.....not to be seen again. :0(

It often appears around 5am with us and then vanishes as soon as we get up...

Love all those comments!!:)
I thought the sun only lived in the med and such places!! Definitely not here - it is a very infrequent visitor. It was here in March, maybe it got the date wrong for it's visit!!
Somebody remind it pleeeeese, it should be here now, or it will miss all the long days & evenings!!

Some people say they have seen something called the Sun that they remember from their childhood but this is Britain and it's summer 2012 so it obviously wasn't that.
