The black stems of my Hydrangea Zorro have some white sides.

Is this a disease of some sort, or normal?
It gets morning sun, shading over as the afternoon wears on. The blue flowers and bud clusters look very healthy.

Does the white rub off? If so, it's a fungal infection and you need to spray the plant with a fungicide. If it doesn't rub off, as long as the plant's healthy, ignore it.
