ID a climber.....I honestly cannot remember planting this, I think it may be a clematis? It has just started producing what I think look like honeysuckle flowers, yellow and sweet smelling....any ideas welcome!

They produce berries, which birds will eat, and then "plant" the seeds wherever they fly or perch! : )

Mine has been flowering all summer. I wonder why yours hasn't.
I bought it in one of those bargain shops and it was labelled "Climbing Shrub" lol so I didn't know it was a Honeysuckle then.
Yours might have come from birds distributing seeds as suggested by Tugberthil :o)

would it be honeysuckle halliana? gorgeous and very fragrant but a bit of a thug if not kept under control, i grow it up one of my steep banks to stop the erosion. it starts off white and then goes yellow, or is it the other way round? lol

I bet it is honeysuckle halliana as it does start off white and then turn yellow, and it must have been a present from a bird cos I didn`t buy it. I will have to keep an eye on it if its a thug, probably best for me to cut it back at the end of flowering. Thanks for all the help :-)
