Bloomin' Summer!

Well in the last few weeks we have had hail, rain, gales and even ground frost threatened but thankfully we have had the odd day or two of sunshine and the last 4 days have been lovely! The plants in my garden have responded accordingly and everything is starting to bloom, such a soul warming sight, certainly makes all the hours spent tidying, pruning feeding worthwhile – sounds a lot like raising a child! Here are some pictures which I hope you will enjoy.

It's certainly a challenge but your plants look beatiful and very healthy. You'll be eating courgettes soon and it will all have been worth it. Lovley photographs and wonderful colours.
We have had torrential rain today so I fear my plants are well battered down. But we needed it and they will bounce back.

Thanks for your comments, it's been so nice to have the sunshine back even if it was only for a few days! It has really helped the plants and of course its always nice to sit in the garden and enjoy the fruits of your labour. :-) Hope your plants dont get drowned out Marshmallow!

To say you only have a small garden you`re photos show us you`ve packed it full of some beautiful plants. Much enjoyed looking at them.

Thanks Stroller, yes it is only about 40 ft long at the back, about 30 at the front and only as wide as the house but I make use of every inch horizontally and vertically! :-)

Love my flowers Mariek! Always like to have a lot of colour and scent, I know it is often said that it is best to have drifts of one variety but when you have a garden as small as mine and there are so many plants I want then its not an option. Besides they do say variety is the spice of life!
