Hallo all. There is nothing realy new happening in my garden at the moment…just the usual thing of tyding up, pulling weeds out etc etc, but all the same I thought I would post a few recent photos.

A pumpkin that is growing well with the warm wet weather.

The place where I have got my datcha and garden is “open plan”….and to tell you the truth that is the only thing I don´t like about it, but just to make an optical border at the front I made this chain fence, it certainly won´t stop anybody getting onto the property…I suppose you could call it an optical illusion!.

My friendly toad, when he hears me come he..or she pokes her/his head out of the water to see who is there..and then goes back under the stones.

Those of you that have read my posts before may remember about the very small clematis that I bought and that I had it in our kitchen last winter, well here it now is full in bloom…I´m very pleased how it has developed.

Over the past few days I have found a number of dead shrews in the garden…beheaded or badly mutilated..I presume that a hedgehog has been having fun..or even one of the cats that are around…I seem to remember that cats won´t eat shrews…just kill them..I won´t add any photo´s of the dead shrews as they wern´t a nice sight.

Enjoy your garden while it is still “Summer”..if you can call it summer…Christmas isn´t that far off…I have already seen christmas goodies in one of our supermarkets!!!!…and we are still not in the middle of august!!!!.
