A long time ago I downloaded a plant hardiness guide for the UK from the site of Garden Cottage Nursery in Wester Ross. This is a question often asked by members and although it is common in USA to quote PHZ it is less usual to see it here. The site address is http://www.gcnursery.co.uk/

Try the web site hardyexotics.co.uk it too has a zone map. If you are ever in Cornwall visit this nursery I fell in love with it.

That is very good. Interesting differences and hardyexotics also explains how to work out the other factors which might affect your own garden.

I've never heard of them in Britain. I didn't know there were any.
