Tree Trunk

One of the favourite bit’s in my garden was the dead tree trunk with the clematis growing up it and the rhododendron wrapped round it.
Well not any more as it has blown down
.
Clematis cut down to the ground so as to not damage it when moving the trunk
Has left a rather large hole where the tree was

I agree such a shame. What are you going to do with the gap?

Pitty that happened, but I don't suppose the tree trunk would have lasted for ever. I hope you can get something else for the clematis to climb up ...

Lots of metal obelisks in the GCs or a bit of beach combing might produce another log. What a shame that happened. It's left a dent in the Rhodi too, as well as a hole in the gravel, and clematis with an unseasonable no2 haircut.

As we were sitting in the solicitors waiting to sign paper's for the bungalow they told us there was an order on the tree, we said it's a bit late it's dead and most off it has been cut down, that was just over five years ago.
We are going to have a look round for something to grow the clematis up we have plenty of time before the clematis
will want to grow, fingers crossed it will grow after being cut down like that :-))))

When we had 'use of' extra land off someone up the street+2 tons of rubbish, there was a large cherry tree that blew down in a gale. We got a solicitors letter that we had chopped it down! We replied with photo that it was rotten to the core and the weather for that day.....force 8 gale.....hope that lovely clematis grows back and blooms even better.
