This weekend's job.

last weekend was one of those weekends where I was working so despite the sunny weather I didn’t have much time for the Garden.

I am hoping, however to get out for a while and renovate the border. The garden hasn’t had as much attention as I would like to have given it last year, hence it isn’t looking at its best.

So untidy Shiloh can’t bear to look at it.

Last year, when we moved to this house. I had hoped to do more, but due to some surgery pretty much nothing happened from September onwards. This weeks job is to weed and dig up this border which at one time was a pond.

I have considered making it a pond again, but at the moment I don’t have the time, not the expertise so I will keep it a border at the moment. It’s pretty overgrown with grass so if it’s nice hopefully it will be soon ready for planting. The previous owner had a teenage son, who I assume was responsible for Yorik, how is something of a talking point in the garden.

Alas poor Yorik I knew him well.

Lets hope for a good weekend then, we can't have Shiloh turning his back on his space, he might even help you, Yorik has a very cheesy grin doesn't he....

Is that the previous owner or his teenage son?

That border is a nice shape. It would make a lovely pond :)

Thanks for the comments folks. I didnt get as much as I hoped for, as Scotland had a rare win in the rugby and I ended up watching that instead. I did get a bit more weeded on Sunday though and If the weather holds and the days lengthen I will maybe get a sneaky half hour after work. It is a nice shape for a pond. I am tempted but Shiloh my lab is daft for water and I can imagine he would make a beeline for it everytime he went out, which kind of puts me off. Also he would probably wreck anything planted or eat the wildlife in it.

Thanks Bamboo for your comment on the patio. It isn't slate, but concrete and oddly shaped paving stones I think. Ideal for containers though!
