Bee without a flower

Hi everyone, Hope you’re all enjoying the warm rain ! ! Well I’ve spent a bit of time thinning down my wildflowers (some might say “weeds”). Quite pleased at how much tidier everything looked, until, sitting in the sun, I noticed bees going to where the flowers had been. They looked disorientated and it made me think I shoudn’t have done so much in one go, especially as I had watched a T.V programme about the decline in the bee population. It’s worse by the fact that I used moss and weed killer a few weeks ago on the grass – worked really well – not even a daisy or a bit of clover left for the poor wee bees ! ! ! Yes, I felt bad.

I guess another time you'll leave a corner of wild flowers for the bees and insects... They'll appreciate that :o)
As you say, probably just too much in one go....
