Can anyone identify this plant, over 1m, flowers singles lilac colour. I’m thinking a rougue Phacelia species as I bought seed of Phacelia bolanderi, which is small with similar flowers.
In my neighbour’s garden, who seems to think I gave him a seedling this year.
Sorry unable to use the questions page.

Nicandra physalodes fits the height and pale throated flower. Leaf isn't to shabby a match either.

Yes, just looked it up, one of the fasted growing annuals, often growing from seed from a bird feeder, that's where it has come from, he likes his birds, even the pesky Pidgeons!

I know it as a Shoo Fly plant. I once wandered around the gardens at Rosemoor and saw this growing. I asked the gardener that was working there and that’s what he told me. Apparently they treat it as a weed, but it’s a job to get rid of, but it is pretty plant.
