A cold, miserable day.
No scent on the Coronilla today. Masses of snowdrops, only the doubles open. All the crocus are tightly shut.
Two members of the Iris family, Iris tuberosa and Iris unguicularis Peloponnese Snow.
The double and anemone flowered Hellebores which i hybridized are suddenly open, although not as strong growing as the singles.
The above are the cheery plants, but there are a lot of tender frosted plants to which I am gradually going to attend when the weather is warmer.

My Iris P. Snow has had 5 flowers so far this year. I moved it last year to a sunnier spot, happier now.
I discarded my blue Iris by mistake whilst thinning Liriope Big Blue.

oh that is so easy to do isn't it. I threw away a lovely Libertia by mistake.
Mine has a lot of tatty leaves but I don't know when would be the best time to sort it. when do you do yours?

I think I divided late summer before September as I would do with rhizomatic Beardeds, but have read that they prefer to be left till congested.

It seems our weather is so variable now, cold and darmp mist here in the South, while the North gets our higher temps and sunshine.

I know what you mean about lack of scent - our winter-flowering honeysuckle doesn't give any off as it's so chilly. You say your dbl. hellebores are less strong, interestingly it's my doubles that do better here! Crocus are out and so are snowdrops. I noticed yesterday the anemone blandas are just colouring up, too. We have sporadic sunshiney days but under cloud a lot of the time. Your irises are lovely.

Lovely blooms there Siris, even though it was cold and miserable at yours. Those Hellebores are stunning! Your pulmonaria is far more advanced than mine, in flower already..
Love the Coronilla, I have said for years I must get one, determination is a must this year..:))

I love your Hellebores Siris!
We have had a mild spell the last week, but wet and chilly today. The plants don't know what to do and neither do the blue tits who are already in and out of the bird box!

My Peloponnese snow is also in full flower and it must have over 20 flowers on it. Yet my blue one isnt doing a thing.
Many of my hellebores are also out and we have had sun for the last few days so the crocus are too. Some sheltered spots also are showing A blanda. If I could find my camera......
Garden is waking up along with the weeds of course.
