I have never uploaded photos before tonight, and I am dead chuffed I managed it all by myself wahey!! I probably shouldn’t get to cocky in case I’m the only one who can actually see these pics….well here goes.

We moved into our new house just over 2 years ago, and the front garden has nothing in it whatsoever – except a lurid green net to stop the weeds coming in from the field next door. This was my husband’s idea – I’ll let you know if it works! I suppose it also protects the baby hedge hubby planted this week. And when I say baby, I mean they are practically cuttings…

Round the back is different. My aunt and mother-in-law gave me loads of cuttings for my new bed last autumn and I just bunged them in – I dont have a clue what most of them are, and I planted most of them in the wrong place or too close to the hedge. I’m going to have to dig them all up again…..

I have 4 clematis. Clematis # 1and #2 has been eaten by earwigs

Clematis # 3 opened its (only) bud yesterday, and by this evening it too had been eaten by earwigs. It did have big petals yesterday, honest!!

The earwigs mustn’t like Clematis #4 though, ‘Miss Bateman’ its called – I highly recommend it – thoroughly earwig-proof!!

I love delphiniums too and grew some from seed which are just coming into bloom now.

This is my husbands veg patch. Funny how often his mum calls round nowadays…hmmm..I could have sworn we had lettuces at one time..

The ‘everlasting pansies’ have sure lived up to their name

and this is the new bed I dug this year. It has aqueligia and lupin a couple of roses and lavender mostly.

Lastly some crocosmia – nice and easy to grow – my kinda plant!!! thanks for reading :o)

Well done Spindle, on the blog and on the garden, both great achievements. I slaved over my first photo blog for hours but was so delighted when I managed it!.
Your garden's looking great apart from those earwigs, funny how I never get them here even though I grow dahlias. Your new bed will be lovely when it fills out..

Earwigs ear wigs earwigs they must be the bane of a gardeners life. Not content with eating plants they hide in your sweeping brush in your washing allways lurking in your pots.I hate them.

Well dont be. I've since got 2 kittens who between them have flattened everything - oh and most of the hedge cuttings died...lol.

Awwwwwwww! Thats not good! Kittens can be really destructive! Get a water pistol, its how I trained mine! When you catch them misbehaving, you dont make a sound, just shoot them with the wp, & they get a fright! Just like popping a balloon, lol!
