Hello everyone!
What a great site this is!
Thought I would just put up an introductory blog.
As I have said in my profile I enjoy gardening but I am not very good at it, in that the plants we by don’t seem to do well. Maybe we are buying the wrong plants and putting them in the wrong soil or position or maybe we just are not looking after them very well. So that is why I am here to learn as much as I can off you guys. I would love to have my south facing border full of plants, flowers and colour and would love to one day have a pond with a water fall – maybe when our daughter will let us get rid of the trampoline. We have a large conservatory in the back garden and it would be wonderful to sit in it looking out onto a beautiful garden, So any help anyone can offer would always be gratefully received.
Photos coming soon
All the best
Graeme

If life is a journey you're better off in an old banger than a formula 1 racing car, take your time and enjoy the ride. Who wants to be the first at the finishing post.

hi and welcome from me. We are all still learning. remember the plants never read the books:o)
Look at other members gardens and if you see plants you like ask about it. I think you will find even the more experienced gardeners still need help.
Like heron says enjoy the journey.

Welcome to GOY Im sure with time and patience you will get it right. "Nothing in life, worth having, comes easy" that's my moto any way. It would be lovely to have a pond. I am just venturing out to create a wildlife are. Going to have a very small pond. You'll find loads of advise on here. Happy gardening
