Owed my daughter an Easter present and she asked for an apple tree !! who am I to question why :)
So off we went to choose one and obviously had to plant it straightaway in between the showers. I think i will have to find a way of keeping it small as didnt realise it can grow to 2 metres …ooopsy.

View from down the side of my house, was simply builders rubble last June and I poured home made compost, old grow bags and some manure on it last year, pretty much anything I could get hold of really. The depth is ony about a foot and has good drainage cause of all the rubble.
All the plants have come from car boots or bargains from work or lidls :)
It looks so pretty at the moment I thought I would share it with you.

Just to dispel a myth that everything in my house and garden is neat and tidy heres a sneaky look at the haphazard and general mess in my shedhouse…I really need to organise it lol

Your border does look pretty Carol, my sheds and greenhouses start out tidy but as I pot on and plant up pots it gets to a shuffle about and climb over stage I,m afraid, mind you its what I call organised chaos, as long as I can work in there and water them easily thats ok, lol.
My sheds will get tidied up during July when its time to pack away most of the seed trays and smaller pots, thats hoping I've finished popping everything into the garden by then, lol....
Hope the apple tree does well....

Border looks lovely after all the hard work. So satisfiying to see it all blooming. Our shed is sort of same size as yours. Blue at the front. It has just had a big clear out. OH has always been tidy, but he collected screws in coffee bottles. Now they have all gone to the pre metric screw place in the sky. Plus lots of ancient tools like sash cramps and old drills etc. Given away to the scrap man.
