Our coldest weather has passed.

What was supposed to be a possible hard freeze,sort of petered out. As a matter of fact,it was nice when I got the paper this morning by 9am.Sunny,and felt warm. My front “yard” warms much faster on sunny days as it faces the sunrise. The shady back yard,at the same time, you want to avoid-lol.
A low of 37F (3C) after day of being the second warmest city in California for the day, was great luck.
We return to the rains next week..and it might as well be spring. Nothing hot,nothing very cold..mild.

Thanks C-girl! It looks long term like the very coldest night passed.
Last year in early December(2013) we had a very cold first week of -1C temps. I spent much time cutting dead Brugmansia branches. This year..not even a leaf. Its still in full bloom. Almost miraculous winter this year,warm rains and now this. Fantastic!
