More water=a much better garden.

I noticed a Trichocereus pachnoi I have that has been to hell…is back. I thought it died. I never really watered it last year, plus even though it was an old plant,I had moved it around a few times and it has died down to a foot of yellowish -green cacti.
By the end of last summer weed grasses had totally overgrown it. A very tenacious south african veldt grass that you cannot pull out by hand without pulling out the plant it grow by.
So,this spring I sprayed Round Up around it taking the chance it would kill the cacti.
Well, just yesterday I noticed- a nice new crown of healthy blue-green growth has appeared. A few things nearby that are watered..reached the cactus.
Its like that all around my yard.
I try to use just what I need..water being not the almost free commodity it used to be. But having a little more has made a difference.
