If you go down to the woods today...

I think the phrase is ‘Carpe Diem’ ~ seize the day ~ well the hour anyway ~ I was driving near the Lickey Hills and luckily had my camera, thought you might like to see the bluebells:
If you go down to the woods today, you’re sure of a nice surprise:

Everywhere around was new, after the storm from last night the colours were luminous:

light and shade playing on the leaves and flowers:

under the greenwood tree was a good place to rest:

the sea of blue surrounds but doesnt engulf:

they say blue and green should never be seen but i would live in a blue and green world if i could:

dappled shade in the cool blue wood:

follow the bluebell path:

and then suddenly the whole wood rang with the sound of the woodpecker, and up above me i saw a flash of red and green ~ but only a flash ~ he’s up here somewhere ~ where’s Woody?

beech trees and bluebells ~ like a breath of fresh air:

It looks lovely and tranquil there :) We had an awesome storm friday night... I'd been at a bbq all day in the sun, then the clouds just rolled in towards the evening, and we sat (perhaps unsafely) under a gazebo in the garden and watched the lightning split the sky. It was pretty awesome :P Although scary when I had to run home and it was really nearby and I was jumping frogs and puddles :P I hope you have some lovely gardening this easter weekend :)

Wow what a fantastic blog! Loved this. We never have anything like this in Oz so it's always so nice to see a nice English country scene, as normal as it may be to you!
