i need to have another go at the photos cos they dont do the fuchsias justice, that holly's beauty is such a delicate and pretty colour.

You have a lovely selection of Fuchsias, Sticki ... I struggle to keep mine alive ... some are in half baskets on the house wall ... I must either under or over water I think! Some just drop off in bud ... others turn yellow and die ... perhaps I should read up on them . . . . . . .

I'm trying to learn more about them - so I go to a local fuchsia group, one of the good things about them is that they are so easy to take cuttings and grow on.
Thank you Shirley.

Note to self ... must try harder in the Autumn to keep them through the Winter ........
17 Aug, 2011
I put mine in the garage and most of them survived; one or two stayed in the garden and survived!
If I can keep them I'm certain you can.

Time will tell, Sticki! . . . .

Lovely fuchsias and a great title for the Blog, Stiki!

lovely blog, Sticki, thanks for posting it.
I will see you at the show!
I have had very mixed experience with bringing the plants through the winter, especially the ones we've had lately Shirley...
I try to stick to hardy varieties, but some of the fussier ones are hard to resist. My favourite "doers" are Mrs Popple, Beacon and Phyllis. And another pale, nameless one!
"Dorothy Hanley" is also gorgeous, a nice deep colour like Blacky (my Blacky died, boohoo) but smaller flowers.

- omitted to say, I'll be there tomorrow some time after 1.30 I think...
we've been entertaining Grandma this weekend, and some friends from Bristol called in at short notice which was great. It made my weekend, but meant I couldn't go along today.
night night! x
