My neighbours must think i’m absolutley bonkers. Last year I had to get rid of my beloved escort convertable. Not having the funds to replace her I asked my husband to teach me to ride his motorbike. Took me a couple of months to get the hang of it, but now I use it everyday to go to and from work. The only thing is I sometimes forget I have it and 3 times last week I arrived home with plants hanging out of the top of my rucksack and also a statue of budah. After whizzing down the road it’s a wonder there’s any leaves left on the plants, but they seem ok. And today I had to go and get a front number plate for our car. My hubby came home from work and said Hi honey i’m home and i’ve dented the car!!. When I looked it was more than a dent, he has managed to crease the bonnet in the front and sort of shove it backwards, but didn’t break the lights or bumper. There’s a bit of paint missing off the bumper, but he’s lucky he didn’t do more damage. And do you know how he did it? He sneezed and hit the car in front. How I wish I could be in the insurance office when that claim arrives LOL.
Anyone remeber my hanging basket, the one that I had to chain up. Good job I did. 2 have gone missing this week down my road, but mines still here and looking good. It’s grown a bit since the last photo.

And it smells lovely too!
Well i’m going now and gonna browse all the fantastic photos that you’ve all put on here and dream about having them in my garden too! LOL
Take care all..

I too agree that it's good that hubby didn't injure himself. Cars are so much easier to repair than people and hospital food isn't that great either. Your basket is coming on well and it won't be long before all you'll see are the flowers.

A girl after my own heart - my two teenage boys both with motorbikes keep after me getting one again - used to ride when younger! but my excuse is where would I put the plants, compost, shopping etc. I kept getting my hanging baskets taken from the front so now they are padlocked at the top using a small padlock from the cheapy shop so ok wont deter the serious thieves but the ones on the oft chance it will - why cant they go out and do their own - hump... makes me cross...

We've had hanging basket trouble too in the past. Sickos!
I shall put up a pic of us going on our honeymoon in 1952 on our Triumph Tiger 100. Also have an old b&w of me driving it but I seem to have forgotten to raise the stand. I tried my father-in-law's Vellocette once and ended up gliding gracefully into a ditch. Bike wasn't hurt.
In the late '40s I wanted to participate in sidecar racing at Brands Hatch. All very primitive there in those days. The passenger had to lean right out on the bends and risk wearing out the seat of his/her trousers! When I wrote an essay on, "MY Big Ambition" the English mistress wasn't impressed.
On 2nd June while driving South on M6 I counted 165 motorcycles in groups and solos going North. This time of the year there is a migration to these parts, the Lake District also being very popular. I love the sound of Harley-Davidsons.
Have a good day!
