Has anyone had one of those days when strange things just happen. I decided to have a tidy up around the pond and a head count on the fish. Seems I only have 5 today instead of 6 like yesterday. So I din’t know who’s had Arthur but it must have been quick cause I was trying to catch him the other day and he was too quick for me. Then I noticed I had a frog with 2 back legs but only 1 front arm. Never noticed him before. Then I went in for a cup of coffee and when I came back I found one of the birds fat balls in the bottom of the pond, that wasn’t there before, and as I fished it out I see a snail fall in and the 3 larger fish decided to start head butting it around the pond. At this stage I felt like having a lie down, but I didn’t. All I need now is for my sons to come home a do the washing up and tidy their bedrooms and then it really will be a weird day. LOL.

I enjoyed your blog made me smile. I know what you mean about the fish as we have a pond and on the odd occasions when we have had to empty our pond we have practically got down to the last few inches before we manage to 'net' the last one and they are big fish. Goodness knows where your poor Arthur went. Have you got a herron around as my niece has lost several of her treasured collection to him/her. She also has a frog minus a leg when her husband very accidently ran over it with the mower. Poor Debbie sobbed for a week. On a good note said frog is still hopping around!

Very funny Sue :) You'll have to set up little goal posts and coach them to play football :0 (it has been done lol )

lol Sue, reminds me of when we thought we had lost all our fish to the heron a few yrs ago, drained the pond in the winter with the intention of totaly cleaning it out in the spring.
couldnt believe it when we did start cleaning it out to find one of the Koi. he had survived in less than an inch of water.
btw did your sons clean up their rooms , now that really would be strange lol

Hi Sue, Just found your blog and like everyone else I to had a good chuckle.
Did the boys ever clean their rooms? If they're anything like my eldest then your day MUST have ended in disappointment.
Thanks for the laugh, H & K's.......Ian
PS Irish and Grannysue, as an angler and a bird watcher (Twitcher) Herons have definatly caused me some grief in my time....

Really like this Sue! Definitely an odd day, but it certainly made me chuckle. I don't have any fish, but my imagination went up a gear at your description of them with the snail. Did your day have that most unlikely ending?
