Enough Rain... Stop Now Please.

Hi Sueb I agree the rain has been dreadful, managed to get out in the garden yesterday afternoon, OH got the chain saw out a massacred the ivy (I only wanted it to be trimmed bac!) and I had a clean of my paintwork round the awning got achey back and neck now but it is all ready for the summer ..........when it finally arrive. Lovely photos by the way, hope the sun shines for you soon or at least stays dry so you can get out in your garden:)

Hi Nana d ~ I know just how you feel another OH who does a light trim with a chainsaw. Mine is the same.
Shhh! the sun is just peeking through a big grey cloud. Maybe, just maybe I might get out later today and weed the veg beds. :o)

Please send some of your rain to Derbyshire, we haven't had any proper rain for what seems like months! We've just installed a water butt and would like to have it filled up!

Know how you have been feeling Sue, we have three 240L rain barrels and they are all full to overflowing.
We have, however, just been blessed with 3 good days and I have managed to finish of jobs. Today is scorching hot, weatherwise things seem so unpredictable.

Lovely pictures. I like most the last picture showing part of your garden. Of course everybody's garden is a little paradise, but my preference is tidy gardens like yours with borders and a lawn in between. Plenty of rain here too.

Marshmallow~ Thank you for your kind comments. Our friendly toad has taken care of most of the slugs in the garden, although I had to do a spot of toad wrangling to get him out of the greenhouse last night.

Very good photo`s Sue, we never had any rain for a long time here, then the powers that be announced we were in a drought situation, that sorted the weather and Oh Boy !!!!! it rewarded us in torrents, grass is green again and water butts full, however since then its warmed up a lot, sunshine all day today but more rain s`posed to be coming tonight.Hopefully we both get sunshine tomorrow, if it arrives back here I`ve ordered it to stop during daylight hours, LOL...

I'm fed up with the dreary weather now ... no rain for almost 3 months ... then rain every day for about a week! Managed to get the lawn mown yesterday ... in between rain showers. Fingers crossed for a good day tomorrow . . . .

Ha ha Sue, I rang Mum at 9am to say there's a strange thing in the sky & she really didn't catch on that I meant the sun! I managed to get her grass mown & edged before the next rain shower fell. I'm fed up with dashing out to garden in between the showers. : o (((

All this dashing in and out will keep you fit. I maged to get a few jobs done in the garden this afternoon.
