Here is the first of my main veggie crop. We had Strawberries a few weeks ago and now it’s time for the real stars of the veggie garden. The first sweet carrots and runner beans along with a courgette from the seeds Aidan planted a few weeks ago.
The tomatoes are beginning to flower in the greenhouse and a few small cucumbers are beginning to develop.

I always make our bread I have done for quite a long time.

I'm afraid our carrots didn't have the chance to grow so big. Every time one of us went down the garden we kept pulling the little ones and eating them, same with the peas and courgettes.

Yours look very tasty. I also make my own bread. My favourite is "Sun-dried Tomato and Olives with herbs". I use my own recipe.

I prefer fresh yeast, but have the devil's own job of finding it.

I found the local baker was happy to sell me some yeast Grannyb.Well done Aidan. I remember seeing him planting those courgettes. Nothing like the taste of home grown veg and it is so mucheasier to wash and use.

Thank you all :0) Pleased to report Beans and carrots were delicious. I also make a variety of different breads depending on what we have for dinner. I must admit I have been tempted to eat a few carrots but I've been good second lot going in tomorrow.
