Our Sunday morning stroll

Quite often we go for a walk along the tow path of the old canal at the end of our road.
From my front door to the tow path is about a two minuet walk. The canal is no longer used like many in this country which I think is a shame but that’s another story you don’t want me to get started on!
It’s a walk we take all year round. It’s used by people walking dogs, joggers and the odd mountain bike user (although we have no mountains in Hampshire). We see lots of wildlife on our walks yet many people pass and don’t see it which to me seems such a shame but I know my Goy friends appreciate nature at its very best so here are a few photos I’ve taken over the past year.

A beautiful stretch of canal, such a shame it is choked up in places. It's a good thing the wildlife enjoy it even if a lot of people don't. You are very observant to spot and capture these little creatures,as you say so many go by and don't take the time to look :( Thank you for showing us .

Thanks Genuisscuffy~ I know Buster I am the other side between Southampton and Winchester.
Thanks Clarice :0)Glad you liked it.
Aster ~ the canal is cleared every now and then but that seems to upset the wildlife and we don't see so much for a couple of months.

Simply beautiful ... what a great place to take a stroll. Loved that butterfly and the budding water lily! Magnificent trees in photo 15 as well. Thanks for taking us along.
