I know this is a day late for one of these but I wanted to share my latest Christmas cheap and cheerful ideas.

Advent calendars are fun and easy to make very simply with card, paper and old stickers from last year. Building a collage as the days go by, rather than opening doors, which tends to actually spoil the picture, in my opinion.

My porch window sill is very plain so in the Christmas season I cover it with pages from the supermarket magazines to cheer it up! It’s amazing how many of those come through the door and they are so vibrant in colour.
