On Wednesday here in Cheshire it was a beautiful auturm day ,so we decided to gofor a long walk around Biddulph Grange Gardens

The house has a tearoom and a gift shop the rest has been converted into very posh apartments with private gardens and enterance...:o)

I particularly liked the Dalhia walk those hedges looked like they were carved not grown! :~))

Lovely walk around these grand gardens.
Enjoyed the original series on television when they started restoring the gardens - you'd have laughed at the 'committee' it took to select the colours for the teahouse while the painters stood around fuming. A lot of care went in to the selection of dahlias too to ensure historical accuracy.
