Not much to write, just wanted to put a selection of photos together of this area of the garden,.. hope you like them.
Have planted some Cornus Sanguinea this season, not mucn to look at just yet.
Love a nice early morning frost !!

Thanks. I added the Cornus Sanguinea 'Midwinter Fire' behind them... have to wait now though till next year for any greatness. I'm told that it is a good idea to cut them back before they flower (Spring) and it helps keep the boldness of the colourful stems in Autumn/Winter ???

That's the one 'Mid-winter fire' (red) it's a beauty. Last November I took cuttings of both the red and yellow stemmed varieties. All the yellow ones took but not one red. Last week I took more (red) but this time I scraped some bark from the lower stem but not right to the end. This method was recommended by an excellent gardener. I hope the red will take this time.

What a lovely garden scene, truely a winter wonderland. So many gardens are bare at this time. Mine too but the Dogwoods I planted are starting to show off well. Like you I have the red and yellow stems and they look fab together.
