RHS Level II Exam.

Hi everyone.
Well that date the 17th of February 2010 is coming round pretty fast. This is when I take my first part of the RHS Level 2 exam, having been studying at Shuttleworth College in Bedfordshire since September 2009.
The college has superb facilities, fantastic gardens, greenhouses galore, not to mention their own departments for equine, livestock, agriculture, marine biology, environmental sciences, etc, the list goes on. The course i am attending is part-time, every thursday 1030am-1500pm, and the knowledge that has been imparted throughout the course is intense and never-ending. Very much a classroom, non-practical environment, science and biology, plant/cell structure, growth, vegetation, grafting, soil structure, environmental factors and much much much more !!!
Just to remind you that i set up my gardening business last April, this blog being dedicated to my primary customer who owns a 2 acre garden in hertfordshire. He, like myself is very passionate about his garden, and i hope to include many improvements over the coming 12 months, not just general maintenance. Obviously I will include as many photos as possible along the way. The Crassula ovata from my previous blog has fully flowered this year, apparently the first time in 40 years of him having it. Much excitement, forgive me for not posting a photo yet but its coming ! lol.x
Anyway, back to my studying now, and would like to take this opportunity to wish anyone out there the best of luck if they too are taking exams, or just good luck in general if you are trying something different and new !
Peace to all gardeners xxx TLG

You're all very kind. Many thanks for all your comments. Yes i have been burning the midnight oil. Took some time off work for a week now though just to iron out some of the creases. I never realised that there would be so much to learn. Wasn't exactly the academic type at school, council-estate born education system, but now my enthusiasm to succeed is different... especially as i had to pay for the course and exams out of my own pocket!!!
Anyway, will let you all know how i get on. This is just the 1st part, 2nd exam in June, but from what I have heard, it gets easier from here. Much love TLG : )))

At last I can uncross my fingers!!!! Many, many congratulations.

Thank you both very much. I'm really pleased, i understand they've overhauled the system slightly now to achieve the same certificate over a longer period of time. Level II should indicate 2 years of study and i think in reflection this would be more feasible given the amount of in depth knowledge it is necessary to learn in a 9 month period !
Looking to the future
Kind regards
TLG
