With the whole week being nice, we decided to take the morning off from the garden, as most immediate jobs are now done.
Thought you might all like some views from our local village right on the coast. The place is Emsworth, just outside Portsmouth, on this beautiful sunday morning!
This is the view of how far we could have walked if the tide was’nt coming in!!!
Only the sound of sea birds and the tide coming in – lovely!
You can just see a rook flying past in this one.
It’s hard to believe there can be so much colour right on the waters edge.
This is a view looking down the path of a lovely little wood, again right on the waters edge.
Walking in the woods and look what we found growing on the side of the path. Afraid i’m no good on wild plants, anyone know it’s name?
This is an old ruined tower, afraid i don’t know it’s name.
Still plenty of water for the ducks in the same field.
Look at this cheeky chap. he was a real poser!

The blue flower looks like a violet. It seems a very peaceful and lovely place to go for a walk.

Yes Hywel, i thought it looked like a violet. It really stood out along the path. It really is a peaceful walk. All the locals are encouraged to help with conservation at the weekends. They all go along with thier own tools to maintain the little woods. It seems to work very well.
