from the Eiger to a terraced garden

hello everyone, I am back, some may remember that I wrote about my back garden and that it was like the north face of the Eiger. In November (when we had rain almost every day) the team from the Landscaper arrived. They worked very hard for 2 weeks, covered sometimes from head to foot in mud (glorious mud) The only time they stopped working – was when it belted down and they were in the middle of sawing the sleepers to the appropriate size. I saw them dashing into my shed after of course putting a bucket over the electric saw. When the construction was finished, we were all out there in the rain in the almost dark and they planted back my shrubs and conifers, except for the 2 bottom tiers. The poor devils must have been exhausted and fed up especially from me shouting "put that one there, no move the 2nd one there and the one you just jand in your hand after the 1st one. There was so much to think about the positioning, light/shade/shape/colour/flowering time.but in the end I think its going to look great. Of course I will be adding “stuff” and then fill the last 2 tiers with all the plants I saved. They are against the house under fleece, and when I last looked – still alive. When it is all planted up I will show some pictures from before and after, until then be patient and pray that winter is at the end as I just cant wait to get stuck in.
